Summary Description:

Our Steel department is looking for a Laborer. In the course of your duties, you will be responsible for providing the raw material to the welding team. Therefore, you will need to cut, bend, fold, and drill raw steel tubes using specialized equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and weld pieces using templates while ensuring production deadlines are met.
• Operate various machines and equipment as required.
• Assist in bending steel tubes.
• Operate sandblasting equipment.
• Possess strong math skills (read a tape measure).
• Operate a forklift.
• Adhere to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean work environment according to established standards.
• Report any issues or non-conformities to the supervisor.
• Adhere to current workplace safety standards and wear required safety gear, including safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, gloves, and any other necessary equipment for the task.

Required Qualifications

• Completed high school diploma (DES).
• Strong team player.
• Organizational skills.
• Versatile and independent.
• Resourceful and proactive.
• Good manual dexterity and skills.
• Precision and attention to detail.

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of tools and metals.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
• Workplace First Aid training (an asset).
